At FenceRight, we strive to build a team of servant leaders. This leadership model is transformational as it creates a foundation for trust and growth among our team. A servant leader is committed to the growth of people. Our leadership team believes that people have intrinsic value beyond the work they do. They lead with a deep commitment to the personal and professional growth of each and every individual within our organization.

We do our best to ensure the welfare and well-being of our team members. Servant leaders can deeply understand and empathize with others, and they recognize and accept people for their uniqueness by understanding their points of view.

Servant leaders also model service. This posture allows servant leaders to convince others rather than coerce them into compliance. Effective servant leaders can listen intently and respectfully to their employees and act on the information they receive. They aim to practice kindness and patience as they motivate and encourage others instead of using guilt or force. They model relationships based on mutual respect and reject coercion or abuse of power. They seek to create an environment that is warm, inclusive, and instrumental.

We must ask ourselves, "Are we creating a life-giving culture where employees feel valued, accountable, recognized, and find dignity in their work?"

In brief, we desire to use this platform we're entrusted with to bless others as we have been blessed. Our hope is that we will continually use whatever resources we have to impact others in a positive way. May each of our team members find purpose beyond provision while being a part of the FenceRight journey.

BUILD

We physically make fences and custom ornamental wrought iron products; that is what we do. God has given us a passion for gathering resources, adding organization, diligence, and hard work, and creating something that did not exist before. This not only describes what we do but who we are. We are explorers and sometimes even pioneers, as we often venture into uncharted territory. Creating something new requires faith and courage, and we believe that God has blessed us with both.

At FenceRight, we are building every day. We build the fences and railings we sell, the culture in which we operate, and the vast relationships we enjoy along the way. Our continued prayer is that we are able to use our gifts and passions to bless others as we have been blessed.

When faced with deciding what products to sell in the marketplace, our options are seemingly unlimited. In the world's complex matrix of goods and services, we desire for our product to meet three basic criteria:

Essential to Life

Marketplace products can be categorized into two broad categories: needs and wants. At FenceRight, we fit perfectly into the needs category. Because of this, we feel we can be a blessing to our customers.

Affordable and Intelligent

The goal is to offer our product at a cost that does not enslave our customers but meets their budgetary needs.

Quality

While we endeavor to provide affordable pricing, we refuse to do so at the expense of quality. We desire to offer excellence and create proud customers, and we consider this to be equally vital in building actual value. This product model works for any business that has a heart for being a blessing.

SERVE

At the end of the day, what we do is all about relationships. Business is merely a platform that allows us to cross paths with many people in the marketplace. From employees and partners to fence customers and vendors, we have the opportunity to touch thousands of lives!

In other marketplaces, the standard is to use people to accomplish a self-centered mission. At FenceRight, however, people are our mission. We believe people should no longer be treated as marketplace commodities but as people entitled to love and respect.

Our intent is to never take these relationships for granted but to be faithful stewards of every opportunity to connect with one another. Our aim is to have a positive and fulfilling experience for anyone we come in contact with. We treat others as we would want to be treated, attempting to put their needs and interests ahead of our own, and we pray that others will feel blessed because of their relationship with our company.

IMPACT

If we are honest, most of us commit to spending our days in the marketplace for one primary reason: to make a living. While some of us simply seek to support ourselves, others will endeavor to support a whole family. Whatever the case, provision is essential in life, and we shouldn't apologize for pursuing it to a certain degree.

However, too often, a healthy pursuit of provision can become a tireless chase of material possessions. We are all aware of this potential, and many today dream of leaving a nobler legacy. Beyond accumulating wealth, it is common for those of this generation to want to be "part of something bigger than themselves." As Earth's population tops seven billion, we increasingly long for our lives to have meaning and significance. The challenge? Well, most of us spend the majority of our lives at work.

Therefore, to achieve a life of purpose, we cannot overlook how we spend our days in the marketplace. A life where purpose is only lived out on the margins will be only marginally purposeful. Our prayer is that those who seek a greater purpose will find it here.

FenceRight is a collection of individuals who have, united around the belief that we can spend our days in the marketplace with passion and purpose, and have a significant and lasting impact around the world.

We live in a world that is hurting. There are needs all around us in the marketplace and beyond. Therefore, we desire to use the platform with which we have been entrusted to bless others as we have been blessed. As with any organization, we have a unique sphere of influence in which we operate. Our hope is that we will generously use whatever resources we have to impact our sphere positively. We seek to first do this in our local communities, in which we interact daily, and then to reach out to bless the nations.

While we are dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for spreading this message, we are mindful that not everyone in this company shares that belief and commitment. However, we hope that all will join in the effort to reach out and make a difference in our world. By the grace of God, we can make an impact together.

CULTURE

Company culture is somewhat abstract, typically unspoken but observable, and woven throughout any organization. While not easy to capture or describe, it is a powerful force that guides most decisions and actions within an organization.

Culture is defined as the collective behavior of those within an organization, formed by shared beliefs, habits, systems, values, and vision. Operating largely outside our awareness, culture creates a common ground for team members, providing a sense of order so everyone knows what should be expected.

At FenceRight, we are committed to intentionally shaping and maintaining a healthy culture where our mission can be successfully accomplished. While many characteristics are involved, there are four core characteristics (or cornerstones) that are foundational: excellence, honesty, courage, and love.

Because we're human, we each fall short in these areas consistently, so we must extend grace to one another. However, each team member is expected to be fully engaged as we intentionally strive toward these cultural cornerstones. Success does not necessarily mean the absence of mistakes but the presence of consistent faith and determination.

Excellence

Excellence is not to be confused with perfection, but it does mean doing the best we can with the gifts and abilities God gives us. We commit to leading by example and delivering the best in all we do. A person who strives for excellence does not give up when they make a mistake and does not avoid a task for fear of failure. Excellence is about being your best in both the big and small tasks.

Courage

So many hours of our days are spent in the workplace, and we want those hours to matter and to find meaning and purpose in our work. It takes courage to show up with your whole self, to risk sharing your story and your ideas, to risk being wrong, to risk being honest, and to learn new skills. At FenceRight, we want to honor each team member's journey. As a company, we will take courage to create a culture where people can truly flourish. We boldly go against the status quo and try new ways of "beginning and doing" at work. Collective courage is what we need most for people working together with integrity, commitment, and a capacity to cross lines of difference. Without such courage, we risk missing a chance to make things better.

Honesty

We commit to keeping our word and taking responsibility for our actions and words. We will be trustworthy with our team members, customers, vendors, and the local community. Trust in our leadership and company grows when we stand up and take responsibility for our actions. A team that can smile, laugh, and extend courtesies to others really does build trust and dependability.

Love

Each of us should look not only to our own interests but also to the interests of others. Unity is a product of love. We will look for ways to look out for each other. We are not asking that our team members love the company like they might love their family or close friends, but we are asking everyone to treat others well in their actions with kindness and respect. Love is not a feeling; it is an action that is done through genuine compassion for others.
